Step Up Days

We recognise that the move from Year 6 to Year 7 is a daunting prospect for some children and having additional support during this transition can be of great benefit. Although we are a secondary school charity, we work alongside local churches who have a relationship with primary schools to help the Year 6s, especially if many of them are going to schools we are working in through a whole day called a Step Up Day. The Step team will also become some valuable familiar faces when they do join Year 7.

 A typical day will start with games and then the children will use their Step Up Day booklet in three sessions - Journeys, Friendships and Identity- before a final reflective activity at the end of the day.
