Supporting Your Local School
Part of Step's vision is to see local churches connected to their local secondary schools. We can provide numerous opportunities for churches through our work but there are other ways you can support your local school as a church congregation. You may have people who attend your church who work in these schools. Why not ask them to tell you what's going on and things to pray about or get involved with? You may have young people attending these schools. Start engaging in conversations with them too.
A good way to see what's happening is visiting the school's website. You could sign up to their newsletter and see if there are events that you could support them with. For example, Marshalswick Baptist Church have regularly ran a Fair-trade stall at Sandringham's annual International Evening.
To help you find your local secondary school, here are a list of the 17 schools in our catchment area, along with their postcode. Simply click each school to be automatically taken to their website.
