Step Up Days

Step recognises that the move from Year 6 to Year 7 is a daunting prospect for some students and having additional support during this transition can be of great benefit. Although we are a secondary school charity, we work alongside local churches who have a relationship with primary schools to help the Year 6s, especially if many of them are going to schools we are working in. The Step team will be some valuable familiar faces when they do join Year 7.

We deliver Step Up Days where the Year 6s will meet the team through a variety of activities. A typical day looks like the following

  • Welcome and Games

  • Short reflection

  • 3 main sessions on Friendship, Identity and Journeys, all with a Christian element and focused on the transition to secondary school

  • Q&A Session

  • Final reflection and bracelet making activity

Do get in touch with us about these days should you want to find out more. If you are in Harpenden, any primary school work we deliver will be in partnership with Jump! You can find out more by visiting their website by clicking here or contact us and we'll put you in touch with them.
