Step Gap Year Programme 2025: A Year of Growth, Purpose, and Mission

We’re passionate about equipping young people for lives of purpose and impact. That’s why we’re thrilled to launch the Step Gap Year Programme 2025—a unique opportunity for three to six school leavers to embark on a year of growth, leadership, and mission.

This programme is designed to empower participants to deepen their faith, develop their gifts, and make a tangible difference in the lives of young people in St Albans and Harpenden schools. It’s not just a gap year—it’s a transformative journey.

What Makes the Step Gap Year Special?
1.Leadership Training
From learning how to build connections to exploring the Kingdom of God, participants will gain practical leadership skills grounded in a biblical foundation. We believe in equipping young leaders to step into their God-given calling.
2.Personal Growth
The programme encourages deep self-reflection and discovery. With sessions on identity, intimacy with Jesus, and the Father heart of God, participants will have the space to grow spiritually and personally.
3.Hands-On Mission Work
Participants will become an integral part of the Step team, joining school assemblies, workshops, and mentoring sessions. They’ll also engage in thought-provoking topics like justice, worldview, and apologetics.
4.A Rich Community
The Step Gap Year isn’t just about training—it’s about belonging. Participants will join a vibrant, supportive community and share in team events that build lasting relationships.

There is no formal cost to join the Step Gap Year Programme. However, participants should expect to incur some personal expenses, such as the purchase of reading materials and conference fees.
