We are recruiting - New Schools Coordinator

We are recruiting a new Schools Coordinator - Is it you?
Step is a Christian charity working in the secondary schools in St Albans and Harpenden. We aim to provide a lively, relevant and consistent witness to Christian truth and standards and currently work in 15 of the 18 schools and colleges in the area. Step has a team of salaried Schools Coordinators leading over 40 volunteers with the support of 42 different churches.
We are looking to appoint a new Schools Coordinator to start in early 2023 to coordinate our work with 2-3 schools. The successful applicant will also become Step’s main link person with the churches and youth workers in the locality of those schools. Their primary responsibilities in school are to develop relationships with staff and students, to book lessons and other activities and to lead and organise the volunteers in delivering the programme. The new worker would join the existing Step staff team of 9 and will report to the Step Director, Chris Birch-Evans.
We are looking for a committed Christian who is dynamic, able to work independently and in teams, capable of leading, motivating and organising volunteers in a flexible and creative environment. They will also be willing to enthusiastically promote Step to school leaders, school staff and local churches. Our ideal candidate will have some experience of schools work and/or youth work, can demonstrate competence in a classroom, and has managed others.
Here area few comments from existing staff - "Working for Step is brilliant, for all sorts of reasons: the team and the volunteers are inspiring, dedicated, faith filled and caring. The students and teachers we get to work with are also amazing, and I learn so much from them; and finally the variety of things I get to do with Step always keeps me interested and developing as an individual."
"I love working for Step because of the amazing team, who are friends as well as colleagues, the incredible variety of the work and the privilege of sharing my faith to young people."
